Catbird Hotel

A hotel that stood out!

Pros: The room was very thoughtfully organised, waaay beyond something I'd expect from a hotel. We liked the breakfast sandwiches, it was nice to have slightly different options each morning. And kudos to friendly and helpful staff!

Cons: The aircon was a bit loud and also blew the airstream into the bed in my room, so it was tricky to pick a setting for the night. And the wheels for the under-the-bed wardrobes seemed to need cleaning: they left marks on the floor.

Great 1 night stay to the start of our holiday

Pros: Liked the location close to the rail link and the city. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The room was comfortable.

My favorite hotel in Denver!!

Pros: Love the rooms, the bathrooms are wonderful, so convenient having a kitchenette & sitting area. The staff was friendly and the common areas very welcoming.

Cons: This was our second stay (the first was about 3 years ago) and there has been a decline in focus on the lovely touches. Also, Non-alcoholic options are not available for the happy hour (which is part of the justification for a “retreat fee”) & the roof top bar food is very very limited. Finally, the music from the rooftop bar came into our room through the vent. None of these would stop me from coming back but…

Overall, my stay was comfortable and convenient, with great in-room amenities.

Pros: The elevated bed design was impressive, creating space for a full-size pull-out desk, hanging storage, a safe, a microwave, and more, all neatly tucked underneath. The room was well-equipped with a small electric oven, a compact dishwasher, a full-size fridge with freezer, plenty of utensils and plates, and microwave-friendly glass containers. Cable TV and high-speed internet were included. The shower was great, with perfect water temperature and strong pressure. The room also featured a large window with dual-layered shades, providing excellent light control.

Cons: Unlike most hotels, there was no daily room service. When I asked, I was told that rooms are only cleaned once a week for stays longer than seven days. However, they did mention they were happy to provide complimentary towels and sheets whenever needed.

Excellent hotel with all the amenities

Pros: Well thought out layout and had everything I needed. The clothes steamer was a nice touch, way easier than an iron! The staff were consistently friendly and couldn’t be more helpful.

Cons: I stayed for 4 nights but didn’t get a visit from housekeeping which was a bit odd. The AC was irritating at first on the auto setting, coming on and off all night and was quite loud when it was on. Once I figured out I could put it on constant fan, it was much better.

A gem with superb cafe close to everything you need.

Pros: Super friendly staff, beautiful building and excellent rooms - the bed was extremely comfortable, shower was wonderful and we felt like we had loads of space. The ground floor cafe is superb (one of the tastiest breakfasts of our three week trip!). It’s nice to be able to walk easily to great restaurants, bars and shops, and it’s a quick drive to attractions like Garden of the Gods and Pikes Peak.

What a perfect first experience in Denver!

Pros: This hotel is stunning, great room and layout. The foyer is stunning, fireplace, puzzle set up for those staying, big kitchen in the middle. The shower was wonderful, soft bed and art EVERYWHERE! The self check in didn't work, but someone was there to help me so that was lovely as it was about 9:30/10pm by the time I got in. Cons: Well, I need to stay an extra night and was almost the same price for the other two nights that already pay. was very expensive

I really like the vibe of the hotel, lots of plants and art!

Pros: The room was clean and tidy. The little kitchen was handy. Staff was kind and helpful. Many bus options to go to downtown. Included breakfast was nice. Self check-in and check-out is very convenient.

Cons: I found the fan of the heater in my room was a bit too strong, even after setting it to minimum. It was blasting hot air directly onto the bed. I piled up some pillows to block the air flow.
