Fairfield Inn & Suites by Marriott Denver West/Federal Center

Good base outside city with easy access to downtown Denver.

Pros: Friendly staff, good selection for breakfast, close to train station for getting into Denver downtown

Very enjoyable hotel in general.

Pros: Breakfast was very good and even had gluten free bagels. Too much salt in the omelettes

Cons: No comfy chair in our room and no extra blankets so we were a lithe cold at night

Pros: The staff was great. Got there late and they asked right away if we wanted a late check out. Although we didn’t need one it was awesome she offered right off the top. I’ve had much different experiences at other places, so for her to actually be the one bringing it up, says a lot about how the place is ran. Or at least how great the night shift is.

Pros: Staff was very helpful and accommodating. We had late check out and my husband needed a wheelchair at one point and they provided one.

Cons: The tub in 312 did not have non skid surface and was very slippery when I showered. It was dangerous.

Cons: The lobby smelled like sewage They did fix this. Said they had to pour a green liquid in a pipe. By the day we left the sewage smell was coming back

Pros: Breakfast my grandson did enjoy. I did like the different choices in of creamer for my coffee I always enjoy it with oat milk.

Cons: I shared the room with my grandson so the only thing was the bathroom door would not close I would have to lift the door to make sure it closed but sometimes that did not work. The other thing is the 1st day I did go into the pool so the chlorine did not bother me and did enjoy it, but the 2nd day I did not go into the pool but watched my grandson, the chlorine felt suffocating as if there was no ventilation.
