A charming historic home with warm hosts, great breakfasts, and an easy walk to Golden’s Main Street.

Pros: I enjoyed my stay very much in this beautiful historic house in Golden. The owners were very friendly, welcoming, and down-to-earth, and it’s clear they take great pride in keeping both the house and the grounds in excellent condition. The highlights for me were the opportunity to talk about the property and history of Golden with the owners and others staying and the home-cooked breakfast and the baked treats — the muffin I had one morning was amazing. Access was easy, and the property is just a short walk to Golden’s Main Street. The town itself is small, clean, safe, and very pleasant to explore.

Supernice hosts, good accommodation and good location with parking

Pros: The hospitality was great and the hosts was the kindest people. They even sat down and eat breakfast with us. We felt like home. If your into cosiness, this is it! The location is good, just a few minutes walk to the city center.

Much better than a five-star modern hotel!

Pros: Homely stay with exceptional breakfast made by Judy the landowner. Rooms impeccably clean and comfortable. Felt like home. This is an old but elegant aristocrat-like building, very well refurbished by the current owner who run the establishment.

Cons: Lack of lift made us to carry our heavy luggage upstairs. Perhaps a cute little lift could be erected besides the staircase. A big lighted billboard on the highway and some signage indicating the entrance would be a great help to the travellers arriving late in the evening.

Great location for a stay in Golden!

Pros: Breakfast was home-cooked and delicious every day. We got to share the breakfast table with the BnB owners, who are the most lovely people. The rooms are cozy.

Cons: Nothing I didn't like. The mattress was a bit soft for my taste, but that is just my personal preference.

Beautiful house, superb breakfast

Pros: The hosts couldn't have been nicer and Judy cooked an amazing breakfast every morning for us. The house was beautiful and very convenient for Golden centre.

Cons: A black out blind on the bedroom window would have been useful.

I left the Silk Pincushion knowing I had just had a wonderful and unique B and B experience.

Pros: The breakfast was truly delicious: eggs, sausage, fresh baked scones and muffins, plenty of fresh fruit, and, of course, good coffee. The hosts, Judy and Dennis, offered a perfect balance by providing peaceful privacy up in the room and warm hospitality around the breakfast table.

Cons: The bathroom was kind of small, but manageable.

Well done.
