Lovely winter cabin stay

Pros: Lovely spacious property with thoughtful touches, we enjoyed all the blankets, DVDs, board games and spending time by the fire pit outside. We appreciated all the extra heaters and bedding provided, which made it a warm and cosy stay. We had all the cooking equipment and extra basic ingredients needed. Celia was helpful when we had any issues with the wifi or using the wood burning fire. The location was great for visiting local trails.

Cons: It was clear that the host was not on the property during the stay until we had some issues with WiFi, it would’ve been good to know before as the visitor guide book stated the host would be available to come help directly - thankfully we were able to make contact via messaging and solve the issues.

Pros: Beautiful location and property! Check in was smooth. Inside, we found everything we needed and were comfortable in the home. Well equipped.

Pros: Location was great, just what we were looking for, a little off the beaten path. Host was exceptionally warm and friendly, checked twice to make sure we had everything we needed. Over the top experience all around.

Fabulous stay in a great location for Golden Gate Canyon State Park!

Pros: The host goes above and beyond providing amenities and helpful tips to her guests. There were 2 sets of dog bowls, a basket of dogs treats, a basket of treats for us humans, and loads of information about the house and area. You really couldn't ask for anything more - she leaves a wagon on her porch to help take your stuff down the path to the guest quarters - I've never seen a host go to so much trouble! The lower level 2 bedroom unit had a good kitchen and a beautiful view over a grassy meadow. Bedding was very comfortable and suitable to the brisk Colorado nights. I'd recommend this to anyone looking for a restful getaway.

Pros: Perfect Retreat with Unbeatable Hospitality! Our stay at the Meandering Moose apartment was absolutely delightful from start to finish! From the moment we booked, Cecilia's communication was outstanding – incredibly friendly, prompt, and helpful, making us feel welcome even before we arrived. The apartment is incredibly well-equipped, truly having everything you could possibly need for a comfortable and convenient stay. It felt like a home away from home, with thoughtful touches. One of the absolute highlights was the relaxing patio with fire pit. It's a true nature lover's paradise! We enjoyed the mountain air and were thrilled to spot a variety of wildlife, including two moose, lots of playful chipmunks, and an array of beautiful birds, even hummingbirds! We highly recommend this mountain apartment to anyone looking for a serene, well-appointed, and welcoming getaway. We can't wait to return!

Pros: The view from the living room and bedroom was very beautiful. The banana bread the host left us was very good too!

Cons: It was VERY cold. I would suggest not going in winter, even with the wood stove going, I was freezing.

Pros: Die Gastgeberin Celia ist fantastisch: Nicht nur hat Sie die Wohnung bis ins Detail sehr liebevoll ausgestattet, sie war auch noch jederzeit bereit, unseren Aufenthalt mit Rat und Tat angenehmer zu gestalten. Dazu gab es noch einen großen Teller mit Begrüßungsgaben. Hier sei insbesondere das Bananenbrot lobend erwähnt. Der Name der Unterkunft ist wörtlich zu nehmen: Gleich am ersten Morgen lag eine Elchkuh mit zwei Kälbern keine 30 Meter von unserer Wohnung entfernt im Gras.

Cons: Toaster fehlt (oder wir haben ihn nicht gefunden). Wir haben daher das Brot in der Pfanne geröstet. Die Unterkunft ist wirklich sehr weit von günstigen Einkaufsmöglichkeiten entfernt. Also tatsächlich besser noch in Denver oder Boulder einkaufen. (Ja, wir waren von Celia gewarnt worden, hatten aber nicht damit gerechnet, dass es in dieser Gegend wirklich gar nichts gibt).

A wonderful place to relax in peace and quiet.

Pros: Very homey and comfortable. Owner reachable and answered questions clearly and very responsive.

Cons: Road in from highway filled with potholes and unlit at night. Be certain to carry a flashlight.

We couldn’t have asked for a better host or location.

Pros: Celia was great to work with. She answered questions quickly and was fast to accommodate. The apartment was fully equipped and we weren’t missing anything!
