Beautifully restored home with lots of charm

Pros: Beautifully remodeled and decorated home originally built in 1889. Mixture of new appliances, new counters and new furniture with old floors, old brick walls and some old cabinets. Backyard playset was a real hit with the kids. Seating for 12+ people on back porch was a great place to enjoy each other's company while the kids played or others visited the hot tub. Back yard is covered with scrubs and vines with very large trees providing shade. Lots of birds and squirrels and one rabbit which visited regularly. Home was very clean. Off street parking for 3 cars. Ceiling fans in each bedroom (though we were unable to get one to work). The ancient giant Ash tree (over 6 feet in diameter) in front is a great landmark.

Cons: We stayed for 5 days during which the high temperatures were over 100 degrees for 2 days and over 90 degrees another. The air conditioning was great downstairs but not able to keep rooms cool upstairs. Portable air conditioners in 2 of the upstairs bedrooms helped, but during the night it was cooler outside than inside. The windows were not able to be opened or they had no screens. I think that I would avoid staying during times of very high temperatures.
