Shady Pines- Cozy Mountain Retreat

Pros: The location and cozy feel of the cabin which was beautifully decorated with mountain vibes and snow sleds, skis & snow shoes. It made it worth the stay

Cons: The main complaint is the fireplace was not operational during our visit, which was one of the main reasons for the booking, also there wasnt a gas grill on premises during our stay for cooking on the deck. However the grill may have been due to wind factors during our stay. The staff did let me know a few days in advance of our stay about the fireplace but at that point it was too late to cancel or find other accomodations. I do understand that stuff happens and overall we were pleased with the feel & location of the cabin & the responsiveness of the staff

Pros: The cabin was cute, clean, and stocked with anything you may need for your stay. The beds were very comfortable and rooms were very cozy. It was centrally located for everything we wanted to do. The neighbors were very friendly and helpful. Be aware that you are sleeping at 10,000 feet of elevation, which is a bit challenging if you arent used to the altitude. Saw a bear just down the hill from the cabin. St marys glacier hike is just a few miles down the road, we saw two moose there.

Pros: Shady Pines – Cozy Mountain Retreat is the perfect getaway, offering a warm and welcoming atmosphere surrounded by beautiful mountain views. The cabin was comfortable, and truly made for a relaxing and memorable stay

Cons: Noticed it needed some cleaning, the ceiling fan in the dining area.

Pros: The deck, the views, everything was so lovely inside & out. It was so comfortable. We just had a wonderful, relaxing time with our friends. We had everything we could possibly want. It was great!

Cons: We had to block a small area of carpet between the dining room & kitchen with a dining room chair because we kept tripping over the carpet there. Also, my husband was disappointed that he couldn’t “play” in the nearby stream (being on private property). Also, the road construction was a problem getting up & down the mountain. All that being said, we would love to come back. We loved it.

Perfect weekend getaway!

Pros: Loved the location and wonderful wrap around deck to take in the scenery, which was wonderful! Bedrooms were comfortable and spacious.

Cons: There were a few ants in the bathroom, which I’m assuming can be typical/normal for the time of year and location. Other than that, there isn’t anything to provide here.

Pros: Place is so cozy! Great quick communication from host.

Pros: You can’t beat the views!!! Nice and peaceful!!! Owner was very responsive in answering our questions before and during our stay. Just a few minutes to St Mary’s Glacier!!! Great hike but if not used to altitude- it is challenging.

Cons: This was our first time not booking a hotel - so maybe I made an assumption. But there was no soap in the shower.
