Grand Lake Cabin Escape

Cozy, Secluded, Fully Equipped Hideaway

Pros: It was a cozy little cabin with all the amenities we needed: fully equipped kitchen, quiet, secluded location, high-speed internet Wi-Fi, smart TV. The place was clean and we were able to get in with the code provided. It was in a beautiful location, close to Grand Lake (10 mins) and Granby (15 mins), with lots of space around so there was no problem with noise.

Cons: Animals kept scattering the trash, even though it was a bear-proof bin. We think it was a bear-raccoon coalition with the raccoons using their small dexterous paws to open the bear-proof latch and then the bear scattering the trash all over the driveway. The second night we think the bear came alone because the lid was not opened, but the trash bin was turned upside down. The thing we didn't like was that it had a 10-digit door code. Other places we've stayed at would set the code the last four digits of the phone number we registered with so it easy to remember. With this door lock you have to pull up the code each time on your phone, then you have to enter all ten digits, making sure you got them right and you press each button fully and if you're coming home at night you have to get in before the bear gets you.

Pros: It was a nice private location. The newer appliances were nice to use when needed. We loved the cozy home feel of the cabin!
