Hi Country Haus Haven

Nice place for a couple; good value but on the 3rd floor with steep stairs.

Pros: Location was pretty good, about a quarter mile off the main road so very quiet, 22 minutes to Granby Ranch, 10 minutes to Winter Park, several casual restaurants nearby and Safeway grocery just up the main road. Nicely remodeled older unit, very clean, updates and decor were tasteful and well made. Plenty of drawer and closet space. The clubhouse with lockers, billiards, swimming pool and hot tubs was clean and terrific!

Cons: First surprise, the unit is ON THE 3RD FLOOR! 2 1/2 flights of steep wooden stairs OUTSIDE subject to weather elements. There was no indication of this in the description. Probably not a problem for young people in at least average shape, but us old folks (70's) had a rough go of it getting our luggage in and out. Second surprise, 10 digit access code? Really? Completely unnecessary, 4 digits works fine everywhere else on the planet! Not fun at all when you arrive in the dark and have to futz with it at doorknob level. The dim outside light was zero help, thank goodness for cell phone flashlights. Upset that there were NO coffee filters in the kitchen. It cost me an extra $4 for a pack and I just left them there so no one else has to suffer from that oversight. That is really dumb. The shower sliding doors were OFF the Track. I reinstalled them. my rate is $100 per hour so you owe me $40. Toilet paper was coarse and scratchy- VERY CHEAP! Felt like recycled paper. You should improve the quality that you supply. Thermostat unresponsive to adjusting heat, very slow, it wanted to stay at 69 max no matter how high you set it. I think the baseboard heaters might need work or perhaps reset the governor temp lock control if that's the issue. BED- well I suppose an extra firm Memory Foam mattress says high quality to some but not us! OMG hard as a rock! We barely made a dent in it and I am 190 lbs. Also Pillows poor quality, not comfortable. No aeration jet controls on the hot tubs-the knobs were removed. Kitchen had only 2 or 3 sets of dishes and flatware although it says occupancy for 4. They were not great stuff so can't fathom why anyone wood want to steal them.
